Recognizing the dangers of climate change on health, food,
housing, safety, and work, Naif Arab University for Security
Sciences organized a scientific seminar in Nouakchott titled

    «Security and Civil Preparedness to Climate Change»

        Mauritania - Nouakchott    On Sunday, November 12, Naif Arab University for Security
                                 Sciences (NAUSS) organized the scientific seminar « Security
54                               and Civil Preparedness to Climate Change « in the Mauritanian
                                 capital, Nouakchott, in collaboration with the Islamic World
                                 Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO),
                                 and the National Commission for Education, Culture, and
                                 Science (CNEOS) in Mauritania. The seminar was attended by
                                 several Mauritanian officials and featured participation from
                                 specialists representing Arab countries, the League of Arab
                                 States, the International Organization for Migration (IOM),
                                 and experts from relevant universities and organizations.

                                   In the opening session, H.E Mr. Niang Mamadou, the
                                 Mauritanian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific
                                 Research, emphasized President Mohamed Ould Cheikh
                                 El Ghazouani›s interest in the scientific activities held
                                 in Nouakchott as part of its designation as the cultural
                                 capital of the Islamic world for 2023. He underscored the
                                 significance of this scientific seminar, which focuses on
                                 human errors in environment management leading to global
                                 warming—a threat demanding international collaboration
                                 for effective mitigation. Mr. Mamadou highlighted that
